About Carrie KC West
Stories saved my life; I mean that literally.

Founder of The Life Rewrite System

I had a traumatic childhood. I hit rock bottom in my twenties and knew that if I didn’t make some significant changes, I wouldn’t make it to thirty. My big struggle was wanting to know why. Why was life so hard? Is this what life was supposed to be? What was it supposed to be about?

I tried everything: therapy, personal growth and development, and metaphysics. Some of it helped, but none of it gave me the complete answer.

I dreamt of being a writer, so I took a chance and applied to the American Film Institute, the most prestigious film school in the world, convinced I would not get in. I was surprised and scared when I got my acceptance letter. It was there, while working on a project, that I made a discovery that sent me on an unexpected journey: life is a story, with characters, themes, plots, and challenges that repeat until you understand why they are there. I had been living a story I didn’t fully understand, and just like we did on the set, I could rewrite a new one.

I went on to work in Hollywood at MTV, Paramount, Columbia, Fox, and Warner Bros. I spent years reading hundreds of scripts and manuscripts as a story analyst, learning what makes a narrative work. I started seeing the same structure in my own life, and then in my clients’ lives.

That became The Life Rewrite System.

I work with entrepreneurs and business leaders who are successful and capable, and who know something is off but cannot put their finger on what that is. It comes up in their decisions, their relationships, how they lead, how they generate revenue and income. My job is to help them find the story underneath it, understand where it came from, and write a new one.

When the story changes, the results change. If you do the work, I guarantee it.

“I was very impressed with Carrie’s insighfulness. She homed in on my responses to her questions to find the story under my story. This helped me to see deeper into my own challenges and new ideas on ways to resolve them.” —Thelma A., Honolulu, HI

Get Back to the Living of Life: What It's Like to Work With Carrie

People come to this work with a lot on their minds. Some have tried coaches and some have years of trying to figure something out on their own, a feeling that they should have sorted it by now. Sometimes its a fear that what they are dealing with is too small to matter, they’re making too much of it, or it is too complicated to fix.

The first thing most people notice about this work is that it isn’t anything like what they expected.

Carrie does not waste time getting to the point. She cuts through the noise quickly and sheds light on what is actually happening and offers a perspective that shifts the issues almost immediately. Clients describe it as getting back to the living of life faster than they thought possible.

What Carrie brings to every conversation is decades of a personal history across more situations and circumstances than most people will ever encounter. That breadth means she can meet people where they are, understand what they are going through, and help them see the issue from a completely different angle without making them feel judged for how long they have been carrying it.

Nothing you bring into this work is too small, too complicated, or too embarrassing. Clients consistently describe feeling completely accepted, held in a space where they could say anything, and coming away with a clarity they had not been able to find anywhere else.

That clarity is not just a feeling. It opens something up. A new vision of what is possible that was not visible before. And from there, the work of building it can actually begin.

IN THEIR OWN WORDS

“With all her life experience Carrie is able to relate to and understand on so many levels. Because of that I could cut through the extraneous stuff quickly.” NM, Arizona

“Direct, clear, immediate feedback. Carrie doesn’t waste time getting to the point. She sheds light on situations so that they can be seen more clearly and offers a new perspective so that you shift out of whatever is running in your head faster and get back to the living of life.” ZL, California

“Carrie will hold you and the confidences you share with her in a sacred space. I never felt judged. There wasn’t anything I couldn’t tell her and I came away feeling completely accepted.” David, Illinois

“Carrie has a special gift for identifying and understanding the origins of our personal stories. Her rich insights show us how we can rewrite these stories to move from living life driven by pain or fear, to experiencing a joy and freedom that we may have never imagined possible. She beautifully illuminates paths that one can explore leading to release from the grip of past experiences. The results are extraordinary!”
